Rajesh Hamal was born and raised in Tansen, Nepal. His father is Dr. Chuda Bahadur Hamal and his mother is Renu Hamal. His father was a doctor and diplomat to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He worked as an ambassador to Russian and Pakistan.
He did his schooling at Bhanubhakta Memorial Higher Secondary School up to class 8. Then he went to Moscow, Russia with his father. Similarly, his education includes M.A (Master’s in Arts) in English literature from Delhi University. He was the gold medalist there in his studies.
