Childhood and Education
Dibesh Pokharel was born and raised in Kathmandu Nepal by his parents. He completed SLC level education with Distinction marks (81%). He studied high school education from “Yes College of Management, New-Baneshwor, Kathmandu. And his under-graduate education is from ‘Butler Community College’ in Kansans, USA.
Dibesh Pokharel’s parents emigrated to the USA back in 2008. However, Arthur Gunn remained here and joined his parents in 2014. In the USA he studies at ‘Butler Community College’ in Kansas. His family consists of six members including his parents and four sisters: Rubi Pokharel, Rupa Pokharel, Supriya Pokharel, and Komal Pokharel.

Dibesh Pokharel played guitar gifted by his mother in his childhood. Although his family was not musical, he was into it from very young as. He started singing in Pubs and Restaurants in America and loved to sing with his friends. Moreover, he was seriously into music from 2012. He is influenced by ‘Bluegrass’ and ‘country music’. And considers Nick Drake, John Martyn, Bob Dylan as a source of inspiration.
His debut Album (First Album) is ‘Grahan’ released in the year 2018. It has 8 songs including the love song “Nyano Ghar”, released in early 2018. Similarly, his second Album has 3 songs with ‘Khoj’ released in December 2019. This has popular songs including “Khoj”, meaning search in English.
